C Fylm is very proud and excited that Film Club At Home has been shortlisted in the Cinema for All ‘Film Society of the Year’ awards in the Best New Society category! In this category, the judges will be looking at how ideas have grown into a fully-fledged operation, and what makes each group special.
Film Club At Home, our new online sofa cinema club, has been running since that start of lockdown in March. Each week we vote on the film to watch, press play in our own homes on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm, and post our thoughts, comments, reviews and ideas into the Film Club At Home facebook group. So far we have watched 24 films together.
Thanks to the great responses from our audience when we asked how you have been keeping the joy of watching films alive over lockdown, we have also applied for the Filmbankmedia Audience Award which comes with a prize of £1000 for the winner. Thank you for all your support!
The Film Society of the Year awards have been an important tradition for film clubs and societies for over 50 years, and the ceremony this year will be broadcast live on the evening of Saturday 19th September.
