A Meangingful Journey: Connection
by Sim Warren
Sat on top of two wheels, James Lucas, and his bike, are a vehicle for change. Born from a fragment of an idea James had on a cycle trip through Norway, the Bristol Bike Project (thebristolbikeproject.org) is the beating heart for mobilising local people on bikes. Through the people James meets and connects to everyday, a life in motion can have a powerful transformation for yourself and a community. At Millican we celebrate the meaning in every journey. In our series ‘Meaningful Journeys’ we explore creative mavericks and independent spirits who travel their own path through life. We follow James Lucas founder of Bristol Bike Project.

The Forgiving Path

Since forever we have walked paths into existence. Now we choose to follow them at our leisure. Re-awaken to the possibilities that await us all just beyond our front door. Be touched by three people who remind us how just a thimbleful of nature can fill our souls. And consider how crossing paths could bring a new best friend. Then reach for your coat and take a breath… The Forgiving Path is a series of short vignettes giving an intimate insight into three personal stories and connection with the surrounding landscape. Inspired by Slow Ways, a grassroots initiative to create a network of walking routes that connect all of Great Britain’s towns and cities.

Nature Partnership
by Ed Smith
From mass paddle-outs with @surfersagainstsewage to online ocean-focused festivals with @finisterreuk the G7 certainly triggered a wave of local activism and sparked serious dialogue about the direction of our humble human race. As world leaders came to town, we wanted to explore whether Cornwall itself faced the same global issues that world leaders were here to discuss. We can’t be more pleased with the response to this film! We were honored to have it premiered at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce’s Sustainable Growth Conference to an audience of concerned citizens, community champions, and business leaders. With the leaders now firmly back in their home countries it will be up to the individuals that call THIS county and country their home to act upon this coming together; whether a project, initiative or collaboration… there hasn’t been a better time to come together and share unshakable optimism and solutions to fix the place we love
